Our story
CourtShare was born from a simple idea: make it easier for people to connect through pickleball.
Our story actually started on the court. We first met at a pickleball tournament where we ended up playing against each other. During that match, Preston hit his very first real-life Erne - against Nicole! We even have the moment caught on video and Nicole's face is less-than-amused. Thankfully, she still agreed to speak to him again. :)
Over the next couple of years, pickleball became more than a hobby; it introduced us to some of our closest friends, gave us countless fun memories, and showed us the amazing community side of pickleball.
Like so many players, we also experienced the challenges that come with the sport's rapid growth: public courts are often crowded, making it difficult to find open court time. But we also learned that there are beautiful private courts that sit unused for much of the week.
One day, the idea clicked.
Preston is a software developer and Nicole works in finance. We'd already talked about building something together, and because pickleball had become such an important part of our lives, we naturally gravitated to it.
Over the next few months, we worked hard to bring CourtShare to life.
Our goal wasn't simply to create another booking platform. We wanted to create more opportunities for people to play, improve, host, teach, compete, and build friendships.
Today, CourtShare helps players discover private courts, lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and unique backyard experiences while giving court owners new ways to share the amazing spaces they've built.
At its heart, CourtShare is about connection. We hope it helps create new friendships, engenders unforgettable backyard events, and promotes a stronger pickleball community - one game at a time.

Co-founder
I've been playing pickleball for over three years, and it's become one of the biggest passions in my life. There is something about learning a new skill and then continuously working to improve that skill. In addition to it being downright fun, I truly love the pickleball community. Some of my closest friendships started because of this sport, and that's something I hope CourtShare can bring to other players.
When I'm not working on CourtShare, you will most likely find me on the pickleball court - drilling, playing, and dreaming up new ways to make the platform even better.

I've been playing pickleball for about five years. It's easy to get lost in the game and realize that five hours have suddenly passed. Additionally, I have met many players of all ages through my time on the courts and value the friendships that have grown through playing pickleball.
My software developer background has allowed me to build and continuously improve the CourtShare platform, making it easy for players, hosts, coaches, and event organizers to connect. I look forward to future iterations that will not only solve real problems that players face, but that will also continue to grow the community.
